Michael Earley

 Dr. Michael Earley specializes in supporting law enforcement wellness through innovative mental health programming. After earning his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, he spent nearly a decade providing psychotherapy services in Skagit, Whatcom, and Island Counties. In 2022, Dr. Earley joined the Bellingham Police Department as their first embedded mental health provider, where he developed supported the agency in designing and implementing their first comprehensive wellness program. By 2024, he expanded his work to include the Washington State Patrol, Anacortes Police Department, and Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office, focusing exclusively on enhancing first responder health, resilience, and connection.

Katie Earley

Katie Earley brings nearly 20 years of experience in education, program management, and nonprofit leadership. With a B.A. in Sociology and a Master’s in Education from the University of Notre Dame, she is dedicated to creating impactful programming that fosters wellness, connection, and positive culture. Passionate about personal growth and authenticity, Katie is excited to support first responders in their healing and resilience.

Born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, Dr. Earley completed his BA in English and a Masters in Education, both at the University of Notre Dame, in support of his first career as a high school teacher.  Dr. Earley spent a total of six years working in education, both as a teacher and an administrator, and logged over 5,000 hours in the classroom.  

 

After transitioning to a career in clinical research, initially working for the University of Washington, and later at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Earley completed his MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (APA accredited). 

 

Trained within the Veterans Administration Health Care System, both in Baltimore, MD and via VA Puget Sound, Dr. Earley first worked at a VA Community Clinic before opening a private practice in Anacortes, WA. 

From 2014 to 2023, Dr. Earley provided individual, couple’s, and group psychotherapy services for individuals located in Skagit, Whatcom, and Island Counties.  In 2022, after having delivered several trainings to the Bellingham Police Department, Dr. Earley was invited to work part time for BPD as their first ever “embedded mental health provider,” working to design, implement, and evaluate the agency’s wellness programming.  Dr. Earley now coordinates the peer support and chaplain programs, and engages in an array of informal mental health check ins, and works to secure grant funding for the agency while functioning as an in house trainer and subject matter expert.

In 2024, after securing additional contracts with the Washington State Patrol, Anacortes Police Department, and the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office, Dr. Earley decided to close down his private practice in order to fully commit his professional endeavors in support of officer wellness.  He’s now spent extensive time riding along with officers, fostering relationships and trust to ensure they have access to mental, physical, and spiritual support whenever needed.

Katie Earley holds a B.A. in Sociology and a Master’s in Education from the University of Notre Dame. Her career began in education as a fifth-grade teacher before expanding into leadership roles across nonprofit, healthcare, and mission-driven organizations focused on human development and wellbeing.

Katie has nearly two decades of experience designing and leading programs that support individuals and communities facing complex challenges. She has served as Program Director of Teens in Public Service (TIPS), connecting high school students with paid internships at nonprofits across Greater Seattle; Director of Operations at Young Scholars Charter School in North Philadelphia; and Program Director of the SBIRT Medical Residency Training Program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she supported physicians in developing skills to identify and respond to substance use and behavioral health challenges.

Most recently, Katie led group operations at Pace, a mental health technology startup focused on strengthening emotional connection through facilitated group experiences on a digital platform.

Across each of these roles, Katie has focused on building programs and cultures that foster resilience, connection, and growth. She is deeply committed to helping individuals, teams, and organizations cultivate authenticity, psychological safety, and meaningful human connection. She is excited to bring this experience to advancing first responder wellness by developing programming that supports healing, strengthens team culture, and helps those who serve others sustain their wellbeing over the long term.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys live music, road trips, and spending time outdoors hiking and skiing with her husband and three daughters.
